Role Description
This is a hybrid role for a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner located in Providence, RI, with the flexibility of some work-from-home arrangements. Responsibilities include evaluating and managing patients' mental health needs, developing customized treatment plans, prescribing medications when necessary, and providing ongoing psychiatric care and support. The role also entails collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to deliver holistic care to clients and ensuring the highest standard of mental health treatment.
Current and active Nurse Practitioner license and Controlled Substance license to practice in the state of Rhode Island
Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC)
2-5 years of experience in psychiatric care and medication management
Excellent patient management and communication skills
Knowledge and experience with EMR platforms and computer skills
Ability to work well in a collaborative team environment
Dedication to patient-centered care and evidence-based practice
Familiarity with Genesight Testing is preferred.
Qualifications
Expertise in Mental Health Nursing and Psychiatric Care
Experience as a Nurse Practitioner specializing in Mental Health Care
Strong clinical skills in delivering compassionate, patient-centered care
Ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and coordinate care
Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) and Nurse Practitioner (NP) licenses
Master's or Doctoral degree in Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing or a related field
Commitment to fostering inclusive and equitable mental health care
