Responsibilities

As an Air Force Engineer, you will be trained to acquire world-class technical expertise under the Military Domain Experts Scheme (MDES). You will be working with state-of-the-art technology to find innovative solutions for complex challenges, streamline protocols and processes, and formulate strategies that will take our Air Force to the next level. Learn to innovate and troubleshoot complex systems with great efficiency to protect our nation's sovereignty.

The Air Force Engineer vocation offers tracks in Electrical, Mechanical and Digital. You will take on a diverse range of roles, including:

1. Engineering and Maintenance Management

Oversee and manage engineering and maintenance activities to ensure operational readiness and meet both peacetime and wartime requirements.

2. Project Implementation

Lead projects related to the introduction of new aircraft, operational facilities, and equipment into service.

3. Reliability and Standards Improvement

Conduct studies and evaluations to improve the reliability and maintain the standards of aircraft, facilities, and other equipment.

4. Modification and Performance Enhancement

Evaluate and implement modifications to upgrade the performance or reliability of equipment and installations.

5. Failure Investigation and Corrective Action

Investigate failures of Aircraft, Ground Air Defence systems, facilities, and components, and implement corrective measures to address identified issues.

6. Engineering Standards Maintenance

Ensure engineering standards are maintained across RSAF units and contribute to the development and enforcement of Technology Security (TechSec) processes.

7. Quality Assurance and Conformity

Implement and manage quality assurance, audit, and conformity inspection programs to maintain high standards of equipment, facilities, and services.

8. Design and Development

Produce designs, specifications, and drawings for equipment and tooling. Develop techniques for damage repair across various infrastructures.

9. Technological Awareness and Integration

Stay updated with the latest technological developments and integrate relevant advancements into RSAF operations and strategies.

In addition, you will gain exposure to different aspects of operations and a wide range of responsibilities for holistic development. These include leadership development, staff writing, and presentation skills, providing a comprehensive growth experience.

Qualifications

Degree in:

- Engineering (Aerospace, Computer, Electrical & Electronic, Mechanical)

- Business Analytics

- Computer Science

- Data Science

- Other Aerospace-related Courses

You may also apply if you have an 'A' Level/IB certificate or a relevant engineering diploma and have been accepted into a recognised university to pursue one of the above degree courses. Experience with aviation systems is a plus.
