Location: Lucan Job Type: Full-time Salary: Competitive, based on experience
We are seeking a motivated Part-Qualified Accountant to join our growing accountancy practice. The successful candidate will work with a diverse portfolio of small and medium-sized businesses, providing accounting, taxation, and advisory services. This role offers exposure to a broad range of accounting functions and an opportunity to develop strong client relationships within a professional practice environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Preparation of annual financial statements for small and medium-sized companies in accordance with relevant accounting standards
Assisting with VAT returns, RCT Returns, and VAT compliance
Preparation and submission of Income Tax returns for sole traders, partnerships, and directors
Assisting with external Audits
Preparation and filing of Corporation Tax returns
Liaising with clients to obtain financial information and provide support on accounting queries
Assisting clients with bookkeeping and cloud accounting software where required
Supporting partners and senior staff with tax planning and advisory work
Ensuring compliance with relevant tax and statutory filing deadlines
Maintaining accurate client records and working papers
Dealing with correspondence with the Revenue Commissioners where required
Qualifications & Experience:
Part-qualified accountant (e.g. ACCA, Chartered Accountants Ireland, or CPA Ireland) or other relevant qualification
Experience working in an accountancy practice environment is desirable
Strong knowledge of Irish tax and accounting regulations
Experience preparing company financial statements and tax returns
Proficiency in accounting software packages and Microsoft Excel
Experience with cloud accounting platforms (e.g. Xero, Sage, Bright) is an advantage
