About the role

Bilingual Brand Manager (Verizon) - Temporary

As a Brand Manager within the Brand Design Team, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping and maintaining the integrity of our brand. You'll be instrumental in developing, implementing, and optimizing our brand messaging and creative assets to ensure they consistently align with our overarching brand and product strategy. This role demands a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of brand resonance, and the ability to drive creative performance. We are seeking a bilingual candidate who has comfort writing and speaking in both English and Spanish.

You'll be responsible for translating brand strategy into actionable messaging, managing the creation and dissemination of essential brand artifacts like brand guidelines and claim documentation, and ensuring seamless communication with cross-functional partners. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in written communications, a passion for brand excellence, and a deep understanding of marketing & media.

This role will lead the coordination of our messaging strategy's implementation, constantly innovating to drive performance. You'll manage the development of key above-the-line and below-the-line creative and be a key contributor to the creation and upkeep of our brand's foundational documents. This involves staying ahead of the curve by analyzing competitor messaging and industry trends, collaborating with marketing teammates to leverage best practices, and partnering with the Commercial team to align with business objectives. You'll also oversee critical creative review functions, including approving messaging in briefs, reviewing creative rounds from internal and external partners, and approving marketing partner communications. Furthermore, you will support broader brand strategy initiatives, messaging audits, and branded content development as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

Brand Messaging & Creative Development: Work with creative agencies and internal teams to optimize and streamline creative messaging and brand design, reflecting a deep understanding of our brand positioning and overarching strategy.

Creative Excellence & Performance: Craft compelling creative that drives business results, including comprehensive brief development, hands-on creative management, and detailed creative reviews.

Brand Artifact Creation & Management: Support the development, refinement, and dissemination of core brand artifacts, including messaging frameworks, brand guidelines, and other essential brand documentation.

Audience & Product Alignment: Maintain a keen awareness of product proof points relevant to our target audiences, providing recommendations on their optimal placement across various creative elements.

Creative Optimization & Data Analysis: Collaborate closely with internal teams and agency partners to continuously optimize creative performance. Track messaging placements and relevant data to inform future creative decisions and optimizations.

Market & Competitor Analysis: Monitor competitor messaging and industry trends to innovate and ensure our brand stays at the forefront of marketing approaches.

New Product Brand Support: Support the development of positioning and messaging for new products (including naming and key reasons-to-believe), rigorously defended by data and insights in partnership with the consumer insights team.

Stakeholder Communication: Compile and present campaign plans and results to executives as needed, clearly articulating brand performance and strategic recommendations.

Bilingual Proficiency: Must be bilingual in English and Spanish with a strong understanding of the Mexican/neutral dialect to effectively support brands requiring Spanish-specific translation and localization.

Messaging Governance: Manage messaging claims documents to ensure consistent and approved brand messaging across all team activations.

Brand Strategy Support: Provide support to broader brand strategy projects and initiatives as directed.
