About Brand Vision
Brand Vision is a Toronto-based web design, branding, and marketing agency with a presence in Chicago. We work with clients across Canada and the United States, from enterprise organizations to founder-led startups, delivering web design, branding, SEO, and marketing consultation that stays practical and measurable.
We're looking for a Content Marketing Specialist who can research, write, and optimize content across channels for both Brand Vision and our clients. You'll work closely with our SEO, design, and branding teams to produce content that performs, not just content that exists.
What you'll do
Research and content writing. Research industry topics and write blog posts, articles, and long-form content for Brand Vision and client accounts. Every piece should be well-researched, clearly written, and aligned with SEO and business objectives.
Website content and SEO optimization. Write and analyze web page copy, including service pages, landing pages, and product descriptions. Use keyword research and SEO best practices to ensure content is discoverable, relevant, and structured for both readers and search engines.
Keyword research and content planning. Conduct keyword research using Ahrefs and SEMrush to identify content opportunities, assess search intent, and inform editorial calendars. Map keywords to pages and content pieces so nothing is written without a purpose.
Marketing materials. Write email marketing campaigns, social media posts, newsletters, ad copy, one-pagers, and other marketing collateral as needed. Adapt tone and format for different platforms and audiences.
Branding research. Support branding projects by conducting competitor analysis, auditing brand messaging, compiling tone and voice references, and researching industry trends. Your research directly informs the strategies our team builds for clients.
What we're looking for
Required
Candidates must be currently residing in Toronto or the surrounding area (within commuting distance of our Toronto office). Applications from outside this radius will not be considered.
2 to 4 years of experience in content writing, content marketing, or a similar role. Agency experience is a strong advantage.
Hands-on experience with Ahrefs and SEMrush for keyword research, content gap analysis, and performance tracking.
Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to produce clean, publish-ready content across different industries and formats.
Working knowledge of on-page SEO: meta titles, descriptions, internal linking, heading structure, and search intent.
Experience writing for multiple channels: blogs, web pages, email, and social media.
Ability to conduct thorough research on unfamiliar topics and turn findings into clear, engaging content.
Comfortable working across multiple client accounts with different brand voices and guidelines.
Self-motivated and organized. You can manage a content calendar and meet deadlines without constant oversight.
Nice to have
Experience with Google Analytics 4 and Google Search Console.
Familiarity with WordPress, Webflow, or other CMS platforms.
Understanding of email marketing platforms (Mailchimp, HubSpot, or similar).
Experience contributing to branding or brand strategy projects.
Portfolio that includes work across multiple industries or client accounts.
Basic understanding of social media strategy beyond just writing posts.
