Kinnitty Castle Hotel is seeking an experienced, dynamic, and commercially minded Operations Manager to join our senior leadership team. Reporting directly to the General Manager, this is a pivotal role responsible for the day-to-day operational leadership of the hotel, ensuring exceptional guest experiences while driving commercial performance across the business.

Set within the stunning Slieve Bloom Mountains, Kinnitty Castle is renowned for its unique heritage, luxury accommodation, exceptional dining experiences, and unforgettable weddings and events. The Role

As Operations Manager, you will have overall operational oversight of the hotel with a particular focus on:

Rooms Division and Guest Experience

Revenue Management and Commercial Performance

Sales and Business Development

Weddings and Events Operations

Food & Beverage Operations

Team Leadership, Training and Development

Service Standards and Operational Excellence

Working closely with departmental managers, you will ensure the seamless delivery of all hotel operations while identifying opportunities to improve profitability, efficiency, and guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Support the General Manager in the overall leadership and strategic direction of the hotel.

Lead, motivate, and develop department heads and operational teams, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.

Drive exceptional service standards across every aspect of the guest journey.

Oversee the successful planning and execution of weddings, conferences, and special events.

Monitor and optimise room revenue, occupancy, and overall commercial performance.

Work closely with the sales and marketing team to maximise business opportunities and market presence.

Provide operational leadership across the hotel's distinctive food and beverage offering, including:

Slí Dála, our signature fine dining restaurant.

The Dungeon Bar, delivering a relaxed and welcoming casual dining experience.

Afternoon Tea service in our elegant Drawing Room Bars.

Ensure all food and beverage outlets consistently deliver exceptional quality, service standards, and financial performance.

Maintain strong financial controls, labour management, and cost efficiencies across all departments.

Ensure compliance with all health & safety, licensing, and company policies.

Act as a visible and approachable leader, maintaining a strong presence throughout the hotel and supporting operational teams as required.

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will have:

A minimum of 3-5 years' senior management experience within a four-star or luxury hotel environment.

Strong operational knowledge across Rooms Division, Food & Beverage, Weddings, and Events.

Proven experience in revenue generation and commercial decision-making.

A genuine passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Excellent leadership, communication, and people management skills.

Strong organisational, financial, and problem-solving abilities.

The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment.

Experience overseeing multiple food and beverage outlets and high-volume wedding operations would be a distinct advantage.
