Due to continued business growth and an expanding pipeline of residential construction projects, we are seeking a full-time Construction Project Manager to join our team.

About the Role

The Construction Project Manager will plan, organise, direct, control and coordinate the construction of residential building projects, including luxury homes, duplexes and townhouse developments. The successful candidate will oversee all stages of project delivery to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Plan, organise and coordinate residential construction projects from commencement through to completion.

Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, procurement plans and resource allocations.

Assess and interpret architectural drawings, specifications, engineering plans and contract documentation.

Coordinate contractors, subcontractors, consultants, suppliers and trades to ensure efficient project delivery.

Monitor project progress, quality, costs and timelines and implement corrective actions where required.

Liaise with architects, engineers, certifiers, local authorities and clients throughout the project lifecycle.

Manage procurement and delivery of construction materials, plant and equipment.

Prepare, review and administer contracts, variations, progress claims and project documentation.

Ensure compliance with relevant building legislation, Australian Standards, workplace health and safety requirements and quality assurance procedures.

Conduct site inspections, project meetings and stakeholder consultations.

Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies to minimise delays and cost overruns.

Lead project teams and supervise subcontractor performance to ensure project objectives are achieved.

Coordinate approvals, permits and inspections required for residential construction projects.

Prepare project reports and provide regular updates to senior management and clients.

Manage project handovers, defect rectification processes and project close-out activities.

Skills and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

A Bachelor's degree or higher qualification in Construction Management, Building, Civil Engineering, Project Management or a related discipline.

Minimum 5 years of relevant construction project management experience.

Demonstrated experience managing residential construction projects, including custom homes, duplexes, townhouses or similar developments.

Previous Australian construction industry experience is highly desirable.

Strong knowledge of Australian building regulations, construction practices, contracts and WHS requirements.

Proven ability to manage multiple projects, budgets, schedules and stakeholders simultaneously.

Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills.

Proficiency in project management and construction software platforms.

Ability to interpret architectural plans, engineering drawings and technical specifications.

Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

Additional Requirements

Full working rights in Australia.

Current Australian Driver's Licence.

Ability to travel between project sites as required.

Flexibility to attend site activities on Saturdays when operational requirements necessitate.
