Paralegal

Robert Half Legal is recruiting a Paralegal for a highly successful finance law firm on the Peninsula. The Paralegal is responsible for preparing closing documentation for financings, distributing execution packages, collecting signatures, and ensuring funds are set up to be wired and received by the closing date. This is a fantastic opportunity for a legal assistant, paralegal, or skilled administrative professional to gain experience in the world of large project financings and major financial transactions.

The following are the qualifications for the Paralegal:

• 2-5+ years of legal experience (transactional is preferred) or financial industry experience;

• Desire to become a career corporate paralegal; and

• Very detail-oriented and analytical (good at issue spotting), highly organized, strong writing and editing skills, and tech savvy (Excel proficiency is preferred).

This is a highly coveted direct-hire opportunity with a wonderful law firm. The work can be mostly done remotely, but there is some occasional in-office work required so our client is only considering candidates who have a reasonable commute to their San Mateo County office. The base salary range (for 7 hour work day, plus some overtime) is $80,000 – 95,000+/yr., generous bonuses and annual salary reviews, and they offer excellent employment benefits (comprehensive medical and dental plans, 401k with match, commuter checks, etc.). • At least 2 years of experience in a legal, transactional, or financial services environment.

• Prior exposure to corporate, banking and finance, or other transaction-based legal work is preferred.

• Strong written communication skills with the ability to proofread, edit, and prepare accurate documents.

• Excellent organizational skills and close attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines at once.

• Analytical approach to work, including the ability to recognize potential issues and escalate them appropriately.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel; advanced comfort with document handling and data entry is valued.

• Interest in developing a long-term career in paralegal or corporate legal support work.

• Familiarity with legal drafting, closing processes, document research, or financing-related documentation is a plus.
