Job Description

The work location of this role is hybrid, meaning it will be performed both from home and from a LinkedIn office on select days, as determined by the business needs of the team.

The Sales Operations & Strategy Manager is a highly visible role within one of the fastest growing brands in consumer internet. The role acts as an advisor to executives in the global sales and operations teams and is responsible for helping crack the most important strategic and operational issues facing the Marketing Solutions business. This is a unique Sales Operations role in a fast-paced and exciting part of the business focused on driving revenue through the Agency business. This role sits within the dynamic growth and mid-market section of the Marketing Solutions business and addresses both managed and unmanaged independent agencies.

This position offers a candidate with experience in Consulting, Sales Operations, Business Operations, Sales Finance or Strategic Planning an exciting and high-profile opportunity to influence the trajectory of one of the most emerging strategic segments within LMS, interact with LinkedIn’s most senior sales business leaders, and become an impactful operator within LinkedIn.

Responsibilities:

Partner with sales leaders to continue to evolve a scaled go-to-market:

Drive large and complex workstreams that impact our independent agency base across a managed and unmanaged sales team. Projects may include:

Optimizing selection of high-potential agencies for managed support

Building scaled GTM motions to grow these customers through scaled managed support

Driving cross-functional workstreams to activate and grow the unmanaged agency space

Be the subject matter expert on Agencies in LinkedIn Marketing Solutions, and share innovative strategies and insights across Marketing Solutions and LinkedIn to help accelerate other parts of the business

Foster collaboration across agency and direct sales teams, using data-driven insights to show value and accelerate the impact of the agency sales team

Build rigor in our fundamental data and operational processes:

Accurately forecast the business and bring relevant insights to the sales and operations leadership to capitalize on opportunity and close gaps

Play a vital role in driving our annual strategic planning process in areas such as crafting investment cases, building our resource strategy, and improving productivity

Partner with sales executives on all operational and strategic requests, e.g. team restructuring, quota setting, org changes, etc.

Use AI to bring automation to our approach and integrate it into our BAU processes to drive efficiency

Inspire and develop a team to build scalable foundations for this segment:

Identify opportunities for growth for a high potential group of individual contributors

Embody our culture and values, bring them to life within the team

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

BA/BS degree

6+ years in management consulting, Sales or Business Operations, Sales Planning, or Strategic Planning

Experience in analyzing data and the ability to see beyond the numbers to drive sound decision-making

Experience working in and advertising-led business and knowledge of the agency landscape

Preferred Qualifications:

MBA or advance degree preferred

Experience working on global / large scale program rollouts and execution

Demonstrated ability to inspire coach and mentor members of a Sales Operations team

Experience partnering with and challenging senior Sales executives

Strong project management skills and ability to mobilize cross-functional teams towards common goals

Experience leading meetings with and presenting to senior executives

Experience working in high-growth, performance focused environments

Experience using and developing reports, metrics and dashboards with salesforce.com, Tableau or other relevant sales metric tools and programs

Able to move seamlessly from big picture thinking to operational tactics

The pay range for this role is $126,000 to $204,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
