Overview
Position Summary:
Follows agreed upon process to plan and control inventory of finished goods for warehouses/distribution centers to meet sales and distribution demand. Analyzes inventory levels, planned production, and sales forecast. Develops/maintains inputs to computerized inventory management system.
Responsibilities
Key Accountabilities:
Under limited supervision, plans and coordinates inventory replenishment with strategic partners; requisites purchase orders and interplant orders; analyzes inventory levels and inventory positioning to ensure compliance
Responsible for meeting annual goals for inventory levels of finished goods product
Projects and minimizes scrap exposure by identifying issues and proposing solutions
Coordinates shipments to strategic partners, including drop shipments, replenishment, and lot management. Monitors forecast and safety stock levels, and adjusts accordingly. Maintains frequent communications with strategic partners on a variety of subjects, including order information, recalls, and shipping issues.
Reviews stocking orders with strategic partners for product availability and scheduled ship dates.
Allocates shelf life products for shipment to ensure that they satisfy the contract minimum dating requirement. Projects monthly shipments to strategic partners in terms of products, quantities, and dollars. Coordinates shipments with Werfen shipping operations.
Develops and maintains inputs to computerized inventory management Reviews and adjusts forecast information. Communicates with marketing, manufacturing, and distribution to introduce new products into inventory.
Prepares and distributes numerous weekly/monthly status reports relating to backorders, reagent planning, and similar Performs other related duties as assigned.

Key process related stakeholders, Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, Distribution, Finance, Logistics and Plant Operations.

Qualifications
Min Knowledge & Experience Required for the Position:
3 to 5 years of working knowledge of inventory management practices and procedures, material planning, and distribution systems; certification from Association for Supply Chain Management (ASCM) or other forecasting certification preferred.
Familiar with Demand Planning and the Sales and Operations Planning Process in a mixed distribution and direct to customer
B a c h e l o r ' s degree in Business, Statistics, Industrial Engineering or Economics, or equivalent work experience
E x pe r i e n c e w o r k i ng w i t h p r o d u c t s controlled by shelf life
A minimum of 3 (three) years' experience in similar/preparatory work required
Previous experience with computerized inventory and distribution management systems, preferably SAP
Pr o f i c i e n c y w i t h c o m p u t e r s , including spreadsheet, database, and word processing programs.

Travel 10-15% at times
The annual salary range Werfen reasonably expects to pay for the position is $80,000 to $95,000. Compensation is reasonably based upon multiple factors including education, relevant experience, skillset, knowledge, and specific needs of the business.
