Art Vancouver is seeking a motivated Junior Web Developer & Automation Intern to support the migration and rebuild of our website on Wix, alongside back-end workflow automation setup. This is a hands-on role ideal for a student or recent graduate looking to gain real-world experience in web development, digital operations, and non-profit arts administration.
Responsibilities
Website Migration & Development
Assist in transferring existing website content to a new Wix platform
Rebuild and organize site pages, navigation, and layouts in Wix Editor or Wix Studio
Ensure all content, images, links, and forms are accurately migrated and functional
Optimize pages for mobile responsiveness and accessibility
Conduct quality assurance testing across browsers and devices
Back-End & Automation Setup
Set up and configure Wix back-end features including member areas, forms, and databases (Wix CMS / Wix Velo as needed)
Connect third-party tools and integrations (e.g. email marketing, registration platforms)
Document all workflows, automations, and site structure for handoff
General Support
Attend team check-ins and provide progress updates
Maintain organized file and asset libraries
Support the marketing and events team with digital requests as capacity allows
Qualifications
Required
Currently enrolled in or recently completed a diploma or degree in Web Development, Computer Science, Digital Marketing, or a related field
Familiarity with Wix, WordPress, or similar CMS platforms
Basic understanding of HTML/CSS
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
Nice to Have
Experience with Wix Velo (JavaScript-based development)
Familiarity with automation tools (Zapier, Make, or similar)
Interest in the arts, culture, or non-profit sector
Experience with Google Workspace or project management tools
