About the role
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable records.
Generate customer invoices for freight, customs clearance, transportation, warehousing, and related services.
Verify supplier invoices from shipping lines, airlines, transporters, and vendors.
Process payments and monitor outstanding receivables.
Perform bank reconciliations and ledger reconciliations.
Record journal entries and maintain accurate accounting records.
Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities.
Prepare GST/TDS and tax-related reports (depending on country requirements).
Maintain records for audits and regulatory compliance.
Monitor credit limits and customer payment terms.
Knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping.
Experience with freight forwarding, logistics, shipping, or supply chain accounting.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., TallyPrime).
Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Good communication and coordination skills.
Educational Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com), Accounting, Finance, or related field.
1–2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in freight forwarding, logistics, shipping, or customs brokerage.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹28,000.00 per month
