With offices across multiple jurisdictions, our mission is to deliver outstanding coffees alongside a tailored, service driven account management experience to roasters of all sizes.

Mercanta are therefore continuously on the hunt for skilled and motivated individuals to help achieve the businesses ambitious plans. As of today, we are looking for an Account Manager - Sales to join our team in Singapore. The successful applicant will be trained in-house by the Regional Manager across all facets of the business, from quality control to constructing coffee portfolios on behalf of Mercanta’s clients. Ideally, applicants will have 3+ years of sales experience within the world of commodities.

Job Specifications

· Day-to-day portfolio management of current roaster accounts

· Developing the portfolio of roaster accounts across Asia

· Quality control of offer, pre-shipment, and arrival samples (cupping)

· Part-management of demand planning and sourcing

· Supporting the logistics team with the execution of orders

· Client visits combined with event coordination and tasting sessions

· Origin visits depending on business needs

Required Attributes

· Educated to a bachelor degree standard or equivalent industry experience

· 3+ years client-facing sales experience in commodities

· Genuine interest in coffee and sustainable supply chains

· Resilient, proactive and determined to succeed in a competitive environment

· A team player willing to step outside of their job description to assist colleagues when required

· Willingness to travel and assist at trade shows

· Excellent communication, decision-making, problem-solving and negotiation skills

· Well-organised, intuitive, and self-motivated

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office

· Proficiency in SAPByDesign preferred

· Fluent in English, written and spoken

· Mandarin language skills would be an asset
