The Role

As an SCM Logistic and Distribution Manager, you will advise the client at the start of an end-to-end business transformation programme, with a primary focus on logistics and distribution. You will work with business and technology stakeholders to understand current processes and pain points, define target operating models, and agree future-state solutions that deliver measurable benefits across people, process, and technology. You will collaborate with stakeholders within TCS, across the client organisation, and with third-party partners to ensure alignment and successful delivery.

Key responsibilities:

Understanding current client logistics and distribution processes, including associated pain points.

Reviewing how existing systems and data support current business operations.

Working with stakeholders to define target operating models for logistics and distribution.

Identifying business change requirements and dependencies across people, process, and technology.

Defining required IT landscape changes, sequencing, and integration considerations.

Collaborating with project management teams to ensure appropriate resources are in place.

Producing high-quality requirements and design documentation, including Business Requirements Documents.

Supporting delivery teams to ensure defined benefits are realised.

Your Profile

Essential skills/knowledge/experience:

Strong experience across operational logistics processes, including warehouse management, automation, transport management, and tracking solutions in both B2B and B2C environments.

Functional expertise with leading warehouse management and transport management systems.

Proven ability to work in high-pressure environments with tight deadlines and cross-functional teams.

Demonstrated experience resolving operational pain points through process and or technology solutions, delivering quantifiable business benefits.

Proven experience leading analysis sessions to capture functional and technical requirements and design fit-for-purpose solutions.

Desirable skills/knowledge/experience:

Flexible, proactive, and “can-do” mindset.

Knowledge of warehouse control systems, execution systems, and robotics.

Experience with end-to-end supply chain processes, including B2C order management and tracking solutions.

Understanding of planning systems and their integration with logistics platforms.

Experience with Oracle solutions such as TMS and Blue Yonder WMS solutions.
