The Opportunity:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Graduate Engineer to join our team. In this role, is to provide technical support to a Solutions Support Engineer and the Key Account Manager focusing on telecommunications and industrial applications.

Pursue new market opportunities with the Solutions Support Engineer and Key Account Manager while enhancing and retaining existing customer relationships and accounts. In addition, you will be supporting the Solutions Engineer in tender responses within a specified timeframe with complete tender documents and drawings.

The role includes creating system drawings, creating part numbers, creating complete and accurate bills of material, accurate costing and handover to the production team and/or service team.

Main Responsibilities:

Attend training on engineering services and related internal applications and tools.

Proactively assume responsibility for learning of new products and maintain strong technical knowledge of product features and applications.

Support the Solution Engineer to complete all tender documents within allocated timeframe through the tender review process.

Support the Solution Engineer to complete bespoke technical designs with an outcome of creating drawings and accurate and correct Bill of Materials for the Production team.

Create part numbers and follow up the process to fulfill the project timeframe.

Review the tender documents and specifications and provide compliance statement based on the proposed system.

Follow up with customers to ensure all customer requirements have been met and communicate achievable delivery date to customer.

Communicate with suppliers and liaise with Production Planning team, review specifications to ensure Delta and 3rd party components and equipment meet solution requirements.

Manage customer change requests through the change request process and update customer of any changed delivery date after consultation with the Production Planning team, or Production Team Leader.

Ensure all communication through to the Production Planning or Production team is directed through to the appropriate Team Leader.

Assist with engineering and technical queries and provide recommendations and solutions.

Ensure all systems are designed and comply with relevant Electrical, Safety Standards and customer specifications.

Ensure all appropriate Project documentation is managed, updated with changes and contains all the required specifications and designs and drawings.

Skills

Technical/Professional Skills:

Required:

Ability to learn and understand AC and DC power systems.

An understanding of AS/NZS standards and BCA (NCC).

Desired, if appl.:

Understanding of business and financial terms such as Capex, Opex, TCO, ROI, ROA, etc.

Familiar with relevant international and regional industry standards.

Education/Technical:

University Degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics or equivalent

Project Management Degree or certification (Desired)

Technical Skills:

MS Windows

MS Outlook

MS Word, Excel

MS Project (Desired)

MS Visio

AutoCAD

Understanding of DC power systems, AC UPS and backup batteries

Familiar with building services

Familiar with electrical and mechanical infrastructure systems

Personal Skills:

Strong verbal and written English communication
