AI / ML Engineer

As an AI/ML Engineer, you'll help shape the future of AI at the core of a rapidly evolving business. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex technical problems, thrives in a collaborative environment and wants to help shape the future direction of an internal AI capability.

Salary: $140k-$150k Base + Super + Bonus

Location: Sydney CBD

Hybrid | 3 days/week in office

What You’ll Do:

Designing, building and deploying machine learning models across a range of use cases

Working with both traditional ML techniques (regression, tree-based models, gradient boosting) and deep learning/neural networks

Developing and fine-tuning Large Language Models (LLMs) and Generative AI applications

Building scalable ML pipelines and contributing to platform architecture and best practices

Deploying and managing models within AWS using services such as SageMaker and Bedrock

Driving model evaluation, monitoring and continuous improvement processes

Collaborating closely with engineering, data and business stakeholders to deliver production-ready AI solutions

Contributing to MLOps practices including versioning, automated retraining, drift detection and performance monitoring

What You’ll Bring:

Strong Python and SQL skills with experience building and deploying ML models in production

Exposure to classical ML, neural networks and Generative AI/LLMs

Understanding of MLOps practices including model monitoring, retraining and versioning

Experience with AWS (preferred), Azure or GCP and cloud-based ML tooling

Familiarity with Snowflake, SageMaker, Bedrock or similar modern data/AI platforms

Strong communication skills and the ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
