Job Description: Mid-Level Accountant

Location: Beleghata, CIT, Kolkata Salary: ₹18,000 – ₹25,000 per month

Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Mid-Level Accountant to manage and oversee day-to-day accounting operations. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in accounting, good knowledge of taxation, and the ability to maintain accurate financial records while supporting business compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day accounting entries and financial transactions

Prepare and maintain ledgers, cash book, and bank statements

Handle accounts payable and receivable processes

Perform bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies

Prepare invoices, bills, and vouchers

Assist in GST returns and basic tax compliance

Support in monthly and yearly financial closing

Maintain proper documentation and records for audits

Coordinate with internal teams and external auditors when required

Required Skills

Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices

Hands-on experience with accounting software like Tally or similar tools

Basic to intermediate understanding of GST and taxation

Proficiency in MS Excel (formulas, data handling, reports)

Good analytical and problem-solving skills

High attention to detail and accuracy

Preferred Qualifications

B.Com or equivalent degree in Accounting/Finance

Experience in handling GST filings and reconciliations

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
