Role Overview
We are looking for a Business Development Executive Intern who is eager to learn the fundamentals of international sales and business development.
During the internship, the selected candidate will gain hands-on experience in lead generation, client communication, proposal writing, and sales process management, particularly on freelance platforms like Upwork.
The shift will be rotational based on business requirements and market segments, and targets will be assigned on a weekly and monthly basis.
High-performing candidates will have the opportunity to transition into a full-time Business Development Executive role after successful completion of the internship.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and source potential leads through Upwork and other freelance platforms
Select relevant projects from portals and respond to client queries
Assist in preparing customized proposals for potential clients
Support in understanding client requirements and preparing requirement briefs
Coordinate with internal teams to understand project scope and solutions
Maintain proper records of leads and communication in CRM or tracking tools
Follow up with prospects and assist in moving opportunities forward
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (completed or pursuing)
Strong interest in Business Development or IT Sales
Good written and verbal communication skills
Basic understanding of Upwork or freelance platforms is a plus
Ability to understand client requirements and respond professionally
Strong learning attitude and proactive mindset
Comfortable communicating with international clients
