Overview
Gig Life Pro is a global music consultancy and networking platform with 2,000+ members across 60 markets. We work with export offices, music labels, and clients worldwide, helping to drive growth through data‑led insights, creative collaboration, and industry connectivity.
We are seeking a Finance and HR Manager to oversee our day‑to‑day financial operations while supporting HR administration and executive decision‑making. This is a high‑trust role requiring close collaboration with the founders and senior leadership to uphold financial discipline, transparency, and operational efficiency as the Company scales.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounting & Operations
Manage bookkeeping, reconciliations, and month‑end closing processes.
Administer accounts payable/receivable, vendor payments, invoicing, and collections.
Monitor subscription revenue, deferred revenue, and billing accuracy.
Payroll & HR Support
Coordinate payroll administration, CPF submissions, and statutory filings.
Manage employee leave records and ensure compliance with HR policies.
Financial Planning & Analysis
Prepare annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and cash flow projections.
Develop and maintain financial models to support hiring plans, product initiatives, and scenario planning.
Monitor burn rate, runway, and unit economics; identify risks and opportunities.
Reporting & Insights
Deliver monthly management reports (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, KPIs).
Build dashboards and reporting tools for leadership and board use.
Provide ad hoc analysis for partnerships, pricing, and new initiatives.
Compliance & Governance
Ensure adherence to accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory reporting.
Liaise with auditors, tax advisors, corporate secretaries, and financial institutions.
Implement internal controls, policies, and approval processes.
Systems & Process Improvement
Oversee Xero migration and optimize financial systems.
Identify and apply for government grants to offset finance and payroll system costs.
Drive continuous improvement of internal processes for efficiency and accountability.
Executive Support
Partner with founders and senior leadership on financial planning and operational deadlines.
Prepare materials for board meetings, investor updates, and strategic discussions.
Qualifications & Experience
Non‑Negotiable:
Proven track record in end‑to‑end accounting operations (bookkeeping, reconciliations, AP/AR, invoicing, collections).
Hands‑on experience with payroll administration, CPF submissions, statutory filings, and leave management.
Demonstrated ability to prepare budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections independently.
Strong proficiency in financial modelling and monitoring burn rate, runway, and unit economics.
Ability to produce accurate monthly management reports (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, KPIs).
Proficiency in Google Workspace solutions (Docs, Sheets, Drive, Calendar, Meets, Mail) for documentation, collaboration, and workflow management.
Proficiency in Xero (premium functions) and confidence in managing system migrations.
Professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, or equivalent) or diploma / degree in Accounting/Finance.
High integrity, accountability, and ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, founder‑led environment.
Bonus:
Experience applying for and managing government grants related to finance/payroll systems.
Exposure to board reporting, investor updates, and strategic financial discussions.
Prior experience in growth‑stage companies or startups.
Strong stakeholder management skills with external auditors, tax advisors, and corporate secretaries.
Ability to build dashboards and reporting tools for leadership insights.
