Job Summary:

Germaxco Shipping Agencies Pte Ltd is seeking an Manager for our Customer Service department to join our dynamic team in Singapore. As an essential part of our operations, the Customer Service team plays a crucial role in ensuring seamless freight forwarding and logistics workflows for our valued clients. The primary responsibility of the Manager is to uphold customer satisfaction by achieving key performance indicators (KPIs) and success factors with the support of the team.

Key Responsibilities:

Drive a 'Customer First' initiative by implementing, coaching, and communicating excellent customer service standards.

Supervise the Customer Service Team, mentoring members to enhance overall performance. This includes job allocation, performance evaluations, and facilitating growth training.

Monitor and achieve customer KPIs and initiatives to ensure quality, reliability, scalability, and productivity.

Understand and perform trade and customs-related processes such as Tradenet, Portnet, and NTP.

Lead strategic cross-functional projects aimed at enhancing freight and warehousing processes, as well as digitalisation and workflow improvement initiatives.

Collaborate with customers, peers, and vendors to ensure smooth daily operations.

Stay updated on regulatory requirements for trade and logistics by liaising with Singapore Customs and officers.

Monitor and evaluate invoicing processes to optimise efficiency and accuracy in Accounts Receivables and Accounts Payable.

Actively participate in Germaxco's growth plans through Impact Team initiatives and learning journeys.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field.

Minimum of 4 years of experience in shipping, freight forwarding, or supply chain management.

Proven leadership experience with the ability to inspire and motivate team members.

Strong analytical skills with a focus on problem-solving and process optimisation.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with proficiency in English.

Proficiency in MS Office applications and willingness to learn new technologies.

Certification in the Customs Declarant Test will be advantageous
