About the role

Location: Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Spain

Contract: Full-time, hybrid work model (2 days home office, 3 days in office)

We are a dynamic organization specializing in European project management, communication, dissemination, and training. We collaborate with international partners to promote research, innovation, and sustainable development through EU-funded initiatives.

Currently, we are looking for an EU Communication Officer to support the communication and dissemination of our European projects, ensuring visibility, engagement, and impact at local, national, and European levels.

Job Description and Tasks

The Communication Officer will play a key role in managing internal and external communication strategies for our company and European projects. Tasks will include, but are not limited to:

-Implementing communication strategies for European projects and the company’s corporate activities, ensuring consistency across all channels.

-Managing digital communication channels, including website updates (WordPress), social media (X, LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook), newsletters (Mailchimp), and digital campaigns (Google Ads, social media ads) supported by our Senior Communications manager.

-Creating engaging content such as blog posts, articles, press releases, newsletters, infographics, and other materials to disseminate project results.

-Designing and producing communication materials, including leaflets, presentations, reports and visual identity guidelines.

-Coordinating event communication (conferences, workshops, training sessions) and ensuring visibility before, during, and after the events.

-Monitoring and reporting on communication activities, analyzing key metrics (Google Analytics, Metricool, HubSpot) to improve performance.

-Liaising with project partners, stakeholders, and the media to ensure effective dissemination of project results and connecting with other EU initiatives.

-Ensuring compliance with EU visibility guidelines and communication regulations.

Technical Experience

- Degree in communication, journalism, public relations, marketing, digital marketing, graphic design or related fields.

- At least 1 year of experience in a similar role within EU-funded projects or corporate communication.

-Experience in social media management, audience engagement, and digital strategy execution.

-Knowledge of WordPress for website management.

-Proficiency in graphic design tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar).

-Experience with email marketing tools (Mailchimp, HubSpot, or similar).

-Ability to analyze digital performance metrics and adapt communication strategies accordingly.

-Experience in video production and content creation is a plus.

-Familiarity with EU projects and funding programs (Horizon Europe, Erasmus+, etc.) is desirable.

Languages

-Fluent English (C1 level or higher) excellent writing and communication skills.

-Fluent Spanish (C1 level or higher) strong writing and speaking abilities.

-Knowledge of other languages is a plus.

-Availability for national and international travel when required.
