Position: Fashion Designer and Merchandiser

Experience Required: 3–5 Years

Working Days: Monday to Saturday (10am - 6 pm)

Overview: We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Merchandiser & Designer who will be responsible for developing new product designs, coordinating with customers and vendors, managing sampling activities, and ensuring smooth execution of orders. The ideal candidate should possess a strong understanding of design, product development, merchandising, and production processes, preferably in bags, packaging, or related export-oriented industries.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Product Development

Create innovative product designs, artworks, and collections based on customer requirements and market trends.

Develop technical drawings, specifications, and product development sheets.

Prepare mock-ups, presentations, and design proposals for clients.

Coordinate with sampling and production teams for prototype development and approvals.

Research materials, trims, accessories, and industry trends to enhance product offerings.

Merchandising

Manage product development from inquiry stage to final approval.

Coordinate with customers regarding product specifications, artwork approvals, and sample developments.

Prepare costing sheets, quotations, and product specifications.

Follow up with vendors and suppliers for materials, accessories, and sampling requirements.

Track development timelines and ensure timely completion of samples and orders.

Maintain merchandising records, development trackers, and customer communications.

Coordination & Execution

Act as a bridge between customers, vendors, procurement, and production teams.

Ensure all customer requirements are accurately communicated and executed.

Monitor order progress and proactively resolve development or production issues.

Support management in achieving delivery commitments and customer satisfaction.

Desired Candidate Profile

Graduate/Diploma in Design, Fashion Design, Product Design, Merchandising, or a related field.

3–5 years of relevant experience in merchandising and product design.

Experience in bags, packaging, lifestyle products, fashion accessories, or export industry preferred.

Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CorelDRAW, or similar design software.

Strong understanding of materials, product construction, and production processes.

Good communication, negotiation, and coordination skills.

Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Ability to handle multiple projects and work under tight deadlines.
