Job Title: Bank Manager
Job Summary:
The Bank Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, business growth, and
overall performance of the branch. This role requires leadership, strategic planning, and a
deep understanding of banking products, services, and regulations. The manager will drive
customer satisfaction, ensure operational efficiency, and achieve financial targets while
maintaining compliance with banking policies and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Branch Operations Management:
o Oversee and manage the daily operations of the branch to ensure smooth
functioning.
o Ensure compliance with the bank’s policies, procedures, and regulatory
requirements.
o Monitor and manage the branch’s financial performance, including
profitability, cost control, and risk management.
2. Team Leadership and Development:
o Lead, motivate, and guide branch staff to achieve individual and team goals.
o Provide training, coaching, and performance reviews for employees.
o Foster a positive work environment and ensure adherence to organizational
values.
3. Business Development and Sales:
o Develop and implement strategies to grow the bank’s customer base and
achieve financial targets.
o Promote and cross-sell banking products and services, such as loans, deposits,
and investment solutions.
o Identify and cultivate relationships with potential high-value clients and
business partners.
4. Customer Relationship Management:
o Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
o Resolve customer queries and complaints promptly and professionally to
ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
o Ensure delivery of excellent customer service at all levels.
5. Compliance and Risk Management:
o Ensure all branch activities comply with internal policies and external
regulations, including KYC, AML, and other legal standards.
o Identify and mitigate potential risks related to branch operations and customer
transactions.
o Conduct periodic audits and implement corrective measures where necessary.
o Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including those outlined in
the RBI and UP Cooperative Society Acts.
6. Reporting and Analysis:
o Prepare and present regular reports on branch performance, including sales,
operations, and compliance metrics.
o Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify growth
opportunities.
o Provide insights and recommendations to senior management for strategic
planning.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, or a related field (Master’s
preferred).
Minimum of 4–6 years of banking experience, with at least 2–3 years in a managerial
or leadership role.
Strong knowledge of banking products, services, and regulatory frameworks.
Proven ability to lead teams, manage operations, and drive business growth.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in financial analysis, planning, and reporting tools.
Work Environment:
This is a leadership role requiring strategic decision-making, team management, and the
ability to meet business targets. Travel may be required for business development and
meetings.
Pay: $48,914.08 - $58,907.28 per year
