LA Reservoir is seeking a talented and creative Freelance Graphic Designer with a strong focus on apparel and T-shirt graphics. This role is ideal for a designer who combines artistic vision, trend awareness, and technical expertise to create compelling graphics for fashion, lifestyle, collegiate, and destination apparel brands.
The ideal candidate is highly proficient in both traditional design tools and modern AI-powered creative platforms. You will work closely with our team to develop innovative graphics, branding elements, and production-ready artwork that align with current market trends and brand objectives.
This is a paid freelance position offering flexibility, creative freedom, and the opportunity to contribute to exciting apparel projects.
Responsibilities
Create original T-shirt, sweatshirt, and apparel graphics that incorporate strong concepts, typography, illustration, and branding.
Develop trend-driven artwork for fashion, lifestyle, collegiate, resort, and streetwear collections.
Collaborate with internal teams to understand project objectives, target audiences, and brand guidelines.
Utilize AI design tools to accelerate ideation, concept development, image generation, and creative workflows.
Create production-ready artwork and prepare files for screen printing, embroidery, DTG, heat transfer, and other apparel decoration methods.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high-quality standards and meeting deadlines.
Stay current with apparel, graphic design, fashion, and AI technology trends.
Present concepts and revisions clearly and professionally.
Qualifications & Skills
Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
Strong proficiency with AI-powered creative tools such as ChatGPT, Midjourney, Adobe Firefly, DALL-E, or similar platforms.
Experience using Figma, Sketch, CorelDRAW, or comparable design software.
Strong illustration, typography, branding, and digital art skills.
Understanding of apparel graphics, screen printing, embroidery, garment decoration, and production requirements.
Knowledge of color theory, color separations, print preparation, and production workflows.
Ability to create both trend-driven and brand-specific artwork.
Strong organizational and project management skills.
Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
Experience with motion graphics, web design, UI/UX, or digital marketing assets is a plus.
Preferred Experience
3+ years of apparel, fashion, or T-shirt graphic design experience.
Portfolio demonstrating apparel graphics, branding, typography, and illustration work.
Experience creating graphics for lifestyle, streetwear, collegiate, resort, or destination brands.
Proven ability to integrate AI tools into the creative process while maintaining originality and brand consistency.
