About the role
What is Kalshi?
Kalshi has defined a new category: prediction markets. Kalshi allows people to trade on the outcome of any events and turn any question about the future into a financial asset. Kalshi fought for years and legalized prediction markets in the US for the first time in history, is currently the fastest growing financial market in America, and has thousands of markets across politics, economics, financials, weather, tech, AI, culture and more.
We believe prediction markets have the potential to be the largest financial market because they turn anything into a financial position.
Our vision: well… build the largest financial market on the planet.
Our mission: bring more truth to the world through the power of markets.
Our culture is simple: we hire really talented people, work really hard, and enjoy the climb. We are looking for ambitious and exceptional people to join our (relatively small) team to help us build the next generation of financial markets.
Role Roadmap
We’re building a next-generation financial ecosystem — think NYSE or CME, rebuilt from scratch. As an Infrastructure Engineer at Kalshi, you’ll help design, build, and scale the systems that power our exchange, clearinghouse, API infrastructure, broker and market-maker connectivity, and more.
We are a small engineering team, which means your responsibilities scale rapidly and your impact is clear, visible, and foundational. Much of our infrastructure is still greenfield, and entire systems can be yours to design and own. You’ll work across the full infrastructure and DevOps stack to ensure reliability, speed, and robustness for one of the most ambitious financial platforms ever built.
What You’ll Do
Build and standardize infrastructure for how software is built, versioned, tested, and deployed
Automate testing frameworks across the entire testing pyramid (unit, API, integration)
Architect large-scale systems with sound tradeoffs for performance, risk, and long-term maintainability
Develop and maintain infrastructure for high-performance data feeds and trading APIs
Support clearing systems with high availability and strict guarantees, including margining, collateral management, and banking integrations
Stress-test and harden critical systems for robustness and scalability
Ship fast and with high quality
Make autonomous technical decisions — we offer flexibility, not hand-holding
Contribute to shaping Kalshi’s engineering culture as the company grows
Required
