Heavy Duty Forklift Operator (Unloading/Loading)

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented heavy-duty Forklift Operator(Loading/Unloading) to join our fast-paced warehouse team. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently managing the movement, storage, and distribution of materials within our facility. Your expertise in operating various heavy equipment, including reach trucks, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, and pallet jacks, will ensure smooth shipping and receiving processes. Duties

Safely operate a variety of heavy equipment such as reach trucks, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, and pallet jacks to load, unload, and transport materials throughout the warehouse

Assist with order picking using electric order picker equipment to fulfill customer orders accurately and efficiently

Manage inventory by organizing stock in designated areas, conducting regular cycle counts, and maintaining accurate records within the warehouse management system

Support shipping and receiving activities by verifying inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring proper documentation, and inspecting goods for quality control

Perform basic equipment repairs and maintenance checks on forklifts and other machinery to ensure optimal operation and safety compliance

Follow OSHA safety standards and company policies during all materials handling activities to promote a safe working environment

Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize storage solutions and improve overall warehouse distribution processes

Qualifications

Proven experience operating heavy duty forklift equipment such as reach trucks, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, or similar heavy machinery in a warehouse setting

Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) for inventory control and order processing

Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic repairs or troubleshoot equipment issues

Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations related to forklift operation and materials handling

Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently using appropriate equipment like pallet jacks or lift trucks

Basic math skills for inventory counting, measurements, and documentation accuracy

Prior experience in shipping & receiving, order picking, or warehouse distribution is highly preferred

Excellent attention to detail combined with strong organizational skills to support efficient warehouse operations
