State Street’s Alpha Operations team is looking for an analyst in Alpha Data Operations team in India. Alpha Data Operations is the Global Data Management team supporting global clients within investment industry for daily support in the Production and CUAT environment.

Who we are looking for

The person will report locally to Head of Alpha Data Operations, India. This AVP will have joint responsibility for the strategic growth of the Alpha Data Operations team, helping to position the operation model for scale and efficiency. This Operations leader will be responsible for onboarding new client in Alpha program pipeline.

As Alpha Data Operations AVP you will

Maintain the Production/CUAT environment to reflect daily activity

Be responsible for driving standard in Alpha Data model across India and global client base with a consideration to look for productivity opportunities and process improvements

Play a role of senior SME Lead or work closely with Alpha Data Operation SME Leads working on client on-boarding to Alpha Platform

Work closely with senior managers across Product, Implementation, Technology, Service, and other Operations to ensure efficient and successful BAU

Oversight of Operations readiness checklist ensures smooth and successful transition from Implementation to BAU Be responsible for developing and enforcing roles and responsibilities, ensuring BAU resources are utilized in appropriate and efficient manner

Present Ops model details and process workflows to clients

Build and maintain relationships with Alpha clients on-boarded to the platform

Oversee daily BAU operations for successful client delivery within SLA and monitor any client escalation for timely support

Help build ops support model around any new workflow per client requirements

Additional Key Responsibilities

Migration Management

Lead and execute migration projects from other global locations to APAC, ensuring minimal disruption and adherence to timelines.

Develop and implement migration strategies, risk assessments, and contingency plans.

Client Onboarding

Oversee end-to-end onboarding of new clients, ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal standards.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver seamless onboarding experiences.

Monitor performance metrics and implement process improvements for efficiency.

Stakeholder Management

Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Act as a key point of contact for escalations, status updates, and strategic discussions.

Risk Management & Control Assurance

Identify, assess, and mitigate operational risks across processes.

Ensure robust control frameworks are in place and regularly tested for compliance and audit readiness.

Process Improvement & Governance

Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and service quality.

Ensure adherence to governance standards and regulatory requirements.

Team Leadership & Development

Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of accountability and high performance.

Conduct regular training and capability-building sessions aligned with future business needs.

What we value

These skills will help you succeed in this role

Proven experience in the financial services industry or global consulting firm: preferably Middle Office/Back Office business processing

Proven domain knowledge and be able to understand the various listed instrument types like Equities, Bonds, ETD and OTC Derivatives, Bank Loans, TBAs, etc.

Broad and in-depth understanding of standards, methodologies, processes, systems and technology necessary to support front to back operations

Ability to work on multiple projects/clients implementation concurrently and prioritize work accordingly

Must have SQL knowledge, hands-on experience with database/data warehouse skills

Balance of Technical /Business

Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills, verbal and written communication and presentation skills

Strong relationship management skills

Flexibility in working outside of your responsibilities and areas of expertise.

Effective organizational, decision making, and communication skills

English language skills are essential.

Education & Preferred Qualifications

15+ years of professional experience

8-10 years of experience in a global management role within the financial services industry.

Experience in working with Product and Technology teams to provide requirements for automation initiatives
