Compensation for this position will be determined based on a combination of factors, including education, professional certifications, relevant experience, and other job-related considerations permitted by law.

Role Overview

The Plant Controller is responsible for financial management, cost accounting, and overall accounting activities supporting manufacturing operations. This role ensures compliance with accounting standards and internal control requirements while providing financial insight to drive operational performance and decision-making. The position partners closely with plant leadership to translate financial data into actionable insights that support efficiency, cost optimization, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Manage cost accounting and inventory processes, including standard cost updates, variance analysis, and inventory valuation methodologies.

Oversee general accounting activities, including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and audit support.

Analyze financial performance and provide insights on plant operations, including P&L reporting and variance explanations.

Support forecasting, budgeting, and financial planning activities for manufacturing operations.

Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance, improve financial processes, and support operational performance.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field.

Minimum of 3–7 years of experience in general ledger accounting and cost accounting.

Working knowledge of accounting standards and internal controls (e.g., US GAAP, SOX).

Experience using ERP systems for financial and operational reporting.

Strong analytical and communication skills with the ability to support operational decision-making.

Preferred Qualifications

CPA, MBA, or other relevant professional certification.

Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems, preferably S/4HANA.

Experience working in manufacturing or industrial environments.

Demonstrated ability to maintain internal controls and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
