Position Summary
CNC Operators run a variety of CNC machines to produce parts. Responsible for loading/unloading machines, cleaning and maintaining workstations, basic program adjustments, manually checking part measurements, and entering part data into a computer system. To succeed in this position, candidates must be detail-oriented, teachable, hard-working, and focused. This role requires fulfillment of part quotas while maintaining high precision standards.
Key Responsibilities
Job type: On-site.
Work Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 6:00am-4:30am (10 hour shifts).
Overtime: Based on current business needs. Currently 8 hours of overtime are mandatory on Fridays, for a total of 48 hours worked weekly.
Operate CNC mills, lathes, and related production equipment.
Load raw materials and monitor machine operations during production runs.
Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and technical drawings.
Perform basic machine setup, tool changes, and offsets as needed.
Inspect finished parts using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
Maintain accurate production and quality records.
Communicate with supervisors, programmers, and quality personnel regarding production issues.
Keep work area clean and organized.
Follow all aerospace quality standards, safety procedures, and company policies.
Requirements
Truline is a nicotine and drug-free workplace. Applicants selected for hire will be required to submit to a pre-employment drug test. Continued employment is conditioned upon compliance with Truline’s nicotine and drug-free workplace policies, including any required testing.
The first 90 days of employment are considered a probationary period. During this time no PTO is accrued, and you have a maximum of 20 unpaid hours (2 full working days) off. Missing more than 20 hours of work during the first 90 days of employment would result in termination. There are no exceptions to this policy.
May be required to lift up to 50 lbs
Comfortable with standing at a workstation for 10 hours a day.
Able to bend over to load/unload machines.
Must be able to use hand-held measuring tools.
Basic computer proficiency.
Basic ability to do math.
Basic mechanical aptitude.
Strict adherence to attendance policies.
Maintaining proper lead safety.
Attention to detail.
Able to be taught and retain detailed information.
Ability to maintain focus during repetitive work.
Preferred
Previous experience in a manufacturing setting.
Previous experience as a CNC mill and/or lathe operator.
Familiarity with G-code.
Ability to read/interpret technical drawings/blueprints.
Benefits
Starting pay rate: $22/hr. Rate will be evaluated over the course of the first 90 days, with further performance-based raises possible in the future.
401k matching: Truline will match 100% of contributions up to 10% of an employee’s pay, eligibility to join the company retirement plan starts on January 1st following the hire date of an employee.
100% employer funded healthcare (the company will cover monthly costs and the deductible, but employees will be responsible for some co-payments). Eligibility begins on the first of the month after employment.
Dental coverage. Eligibility begins on the first of the month after employment.
Free eye exam once every 2 years.
Short-term and long-term disability insurance coverage.
Life insurance coverage.
Upon completion of the 1st year of employment, employees accrue 120 hours PTO per year, with further increases based on length of employment.
Time and a half pay after 40 hours worked up to 48 hours, and double pay for any work over 48 hours.
