Overview: AMERICAN SYSTEMS is an employee-owned federal government contractor supporting national priority programs through our strategic solutions in the areas of Information Technology, Test & Evaluation, Program Mission Support, Engineering & Analysis, and Training. Responsibilities: As an Aerospace Engineer with AMERICAN SYSTEMS you will have the opportunity to do the following:
Perform aerospace engineering in support of flight control system development; aircraft modeling and simulation; analysis of aircraft flight dynamics; and ground and flight test support.
Support the design, development, integration, and test of aircraft flight control systems and autopilots.
Develop, integrate, and validate models of aircraft flight dynamics and subsystems such as payloads, engines, transmissions, flight control components, and sensors.
Support lab, ground, and flight qualification testing of aircraft avionics, sensors, and flight control systems.
Qualifications:
Must have the ability to obtain a Secret clearance after hiring.
U.S. Citizenship Required for the purposes of obtaining/holding a U.S. security clearance
Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering.
1-2 years' professional experience related to Aerospace Engineering.
Experience with MATLAB and MATLAB scripting.
Excellent documentation and report writing skills.
Knowledge of sound engineering practices that may include such areas as requirement tracking, configuration control, technical communication, and/or the peer review process.
Compensation
This Aerospace Engineer role pays $65k-$105k/yr. Within typical range for aerospace engineer roles in United States.
