Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)

Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team. The RBT will work closely with children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism, to implement behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in clients' lives through evidence-based behavioral therapy and support. Candidates should have a strong foundation in applied behavior analysis, experience with children, and a commitment to patient care and confidentiality.

Duties

Implement individualized behavior intervention plans based on ABA principles to promote skill development and reduce problematic behaviors.

Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as grooming, feeding, and toileting, fostering independence.

Collect and record data on client progress during sessions accurately and consistently for ongoing assessment.

Support clients in educational settings by applying teaching strategies tailored to their needs.

Maintain detailed medical documentation, care plans, and behavioral health records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Collaborate with team members to develop and adjust behavior management strategies that meet each client's unique needs.

Ensure a safe and supportive environment during all interactions, adhering to safety protocols and ethical standards.

Participate in training sessions related to special education, medical terminology, and behavioral health practices.

Experience

Prior experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities is highly preferred.

Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA), behavior management techniques, and data collection methods is essential.

Experience assisting with ADLs and implementing behavior intervention plans is desirable.

Familiarity with medical documentation, HIPAA compliance, medical records management, and care plan development is advantageous.

Previous work in special education or patient care settings will be considered a strong asset. This position requires a compassionate approach combined with professional expertise in behavioral therapy. Candidates must demonstrate excellent communication skills, patience, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
