Job Summary:
The Quality Technician at Jabil, Inc. plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of products through inspection, testing, and meticulous documentation. This position supports manufacturing operations by identifying and resolving quality issues, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives, and upholding Jabil's commitment to excellence.
Job Responsibilities:
Perform in-process and final inspections of products, components, and assemblies according to established specifications, drawings, and quality standards.
Conduct various tests using appropriate measurement tools and equipment (e.g., calipers, micrometers, CMM, optical comparators) to verify product conformity.
Identify and document non-conforming materials or products, initiate corrective actions, and assist in the investigation of root causes.
Maintain accurate and detailed records of inspection results, test data, and quality reports.
Collaborate with production, engineering, and other departments to address quality concerns and implement preventative measures.
Participate in the calibration and maintenance of inspection and test equipment.
Assist in the development and revision of quality control procedures, work instructions, and inspection plans.
Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
Contribute to continuous improvement activities and lean manufacturing initiatives.
Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
Job Qualifications:**
High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in a technical field preferred.
1-3 years of experience in a quality control or manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
Strong understanding of quality control principles and methodologies (e.g., AQL, SPC).
Experience with various measurement tools and metrology equipment.
Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
Ability to effectively communicate technical information verbally and in writing.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management systems is a plus.
