Customer Account Manager
About the role
Overview The Customer Account Manager serves as the primary liaison between customers and the company, managing customer relationships, quotations, order activity, delivery commitments, and program communications. This position works closely with Operations, Production, Engineering, Quality, Purchasing, and Shipping to coordinate customer requirements, monitor schedules, resolve issues, and ensure customer expectations are met. The role supports multiple customer accounts, including complex programs requiring extensive communication, management of customer requirements, and proactive coordination of schedules, approvals, and deliverables.
Responsibilities
Customer Relationship Management
Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customer accounts.
Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with customer representatives.
Respond to customer inquiries, concerns, and requests in a timely and professional manner.
Manage customer expectations regarding schedules, lead times, deliveries, and program status.
Proactively communicate delays, schedule changes, risks, and recovery plans
Program & Account Management
Coordinate customer programs from quotation through delivery.
Monitor open orders, customer forecasts, and delivery commitments.
Manage complex programs, ensuring compliance with customer requirements, contractual obligations, documentation requirements, approval processes, and delivery commitments.
Manage customer-specific requirements, approvals, documentation, and action items.
Track program status and communicate priorities and requirements throughout the organization.
Ensure customer commitments and expectations are effectively executed by internal teams.
Quotations & Commercial Support
Prepare and issue customer quotations in accordance with company procedures.
Review customer requests and coordinate internal input to develop accurate pricing and lead times.
Process and review customer purchase orders and order changes.
Support contract review activities and ensure customer requirements are properly documented.
Maintain accurate customer and quotation records within company systems.
Experience
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in account management, customer service, program management, inside sales, order management, contract administration or related role, within a manufacturing environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage customer relationships and communicate across all levels of the organization.
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, customer requests, and deadlines simultaneously.
Experience preparing quotations, managing customer orders, and coordinating delivery schedules in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP/MRP systems.
Ability to interpret customer requirements and coordinate cross-functional activities.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
