Commercial Construction Project Manager
Senior Level | Full-Time | $85,000 – $140,000 annually
About the Role
MKCO is seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Project Manager to lead and oversee large-scale commercial construction projects from bidding to completion. The ideal candidate brings a strong track record of delivering projects on time and within budget, with the leadership skills to coordinate diverse teams across complex job sites.
Responsibilities
Manage all phases of commercial construction projects including bidding, planning, scheduling, budgeting, and closeout
Serve as primary point of contact for owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and inspectors
Develop and maintain detailed project schedules and ensure milestones are met
Monitor project budgets, review cost reports, and implement cost control measures
Coordinate procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontractor services
Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, quality, and safety compliance
Review and approve submittals, RFIs, change orders, and pay applications
Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies
Lead project meetings and provide clear, timely reporting to stakeholders
Requirements & Qualifications
7+ years of experience in commercial construction project management
Proven history managing projects valued between $150,000 and $3,000,000
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes
Proficiency with project management software including Procore, Contractor Foreman, Bluebeam, and CompanyCam
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including budgeting, scheduling, and data tracking applications
Solid understanding of contracts, plans, specifications, and scheduling
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field — or equivalent work experience
PMP or CCM certification a plus
OSHA 30 certification required
