We are seeking an energetic and highly skilled Senior Data Engineer aka Product Owner with a strong healthcare background and Management skills to join our dynamic team. Duties
Develop and maintain robust ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes using tools like Informatica, Talend, and custom scripting with Python, Bash, or Shell Scripting to ensure seamless data flow across systems.
Design and implement scalable data architectures utilizing cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure Data Lake, and Hadoop ecosystem components including Apache Hive, Spark, and Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS).
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into efficient database designs within data warehouses using Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, or similar technologies.
Build and optimize complex SQL queries for analysis, reporting, and model training purposes; utilize Looker for visualization and dashboard creation to support business decision-making.
Integrate linked data sources and develop APIs based on RESTful principles to enable real-time data access across applications.
Conduct analysis of large datasets to identify trends, anomalies, or insights that can influence healthcare strategies; apply advanced analytics techniques as needed.
Participate actively in Agile development cycles to deliver high-quality solutions on time while continuously improving processes and workflows.
Experience
Proven experience as a Data Engineer in healthcare or related sectors with a strong understanding of healthcare data standards and privacy regulations.
Extensive hands-on experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Apache Hive, and cloud-based data lakes (AWS or Azure).
Proficiency in programming languages including Java and Python for developing scalable data solutions; familiarity with VBA for automation tasks is a plus.
Strong knowledge of database design principles using Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, or similar relational databases; experience with Data Warehouse architecture is essential.
Skilled in ETL tools like Informatica or Talend; experience with RESTful API development for system integrations.
Familiarity with analysis tools such as Looker or other BI platforms to create insightful dashboards for stakeholders.
