About the role
In conjunction with the Trauma Medical Director, is responsible for the organization of services and systems necessary for a multidisciplinary approach to providing care to injured patients and for managing, promoting, evaluating and directing the day-to-day operations of the Trauma Program. Provides direction for patient care across the continuum in collaboration with the trauma team physicians, sub-specialists, nursing and ancillary services. The Trauma Coordinator is a registered nurse who is responsible for promoting optimal trauma care, through clinical activities, professional and public education, administrative functions, and quality improvement activities.
