Get to Know the Team

The Pricing Data Science team builds pricing systems that balance marketplace efficiency with partner and consumer satisfaction.

Get to Know the Role

You will build automated pricing products that adjust fares based on market supply and demand to meet business targets. You will report to the Senior Data Science Manager and work from our Grab One North Singapore office.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

You will build machine learning, reinforcement learning, and operations research models to optimize pricing based on supply and demand patterns

You will build automated pipelines to retrain models, tune parameters, and deploy them to production environments

You will build dashboards that monitor model performance and trigger alerts when data anomalies occur

You will write technical documentation explaining model architectures, system designs, and operational procedures

You will present solutions to stakeholders and conduct code reviews to ensure production code meets engineering standards

Qualifications

What Essential Skills You Will Need

To perform these tasks, you will need:

You hold a Master's Degree with at least 2 years working experience in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Operations Research, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, or Software Engineering.

Experience applying advanced algorithms in two or more of the following: reinforcement learning for sequential pricing decisions, deep learning for demand prediction, operations research for resource allocation, or causal inference for measuring pricing impact

Experience using AI coding assistants or autonomous agents (such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar tools) to generate experimental code, validate input datasets, or optimize model parameters

Experience building data processing pipelines using Python, SQL, and Spark to Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) datasets for model training and real-time serving

Experience with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch for developing neural network architectures and deploying models to production

Experience using Git for version control, including branching strategies and pull request workflows for collaborative code development
