Operational Head – Digital Marketing Agency

Department - Operations & Digital Marketing

Reports To - Director / Management

We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Operational Head to lead and manage the overall operations of our Digital Marketing Agency. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing service delivery, team management, client satisfaction, process improvement, resource planning, operational efficiency, profitability, and business growth.

Mandatory Requirement: Candidates must have extensive experience in managing Digital Marketing operations and handling SEO clients. Hands-on experience in client communication, strategy planning, performance reviews, reporting, client retention, team management, and successful delivery of SEO, PPC and SMO campaigns is essential. Prior experience working in a Digital Marketing Agency as a manager or head is mandatory.

Key Responsibilities

Operations Management

Oversee day-to-day agency operations and ensure smooth execution and delivery of client projects.

Develop, implement, and improve operational processes, SOPs, and quality standards.

Monitor project timelines, resource allocation, team productivity, and service quality.

Ensure timely delivery of projects while maintaining client satisfaction and profitability.

Team Leadership & People Management

Lead, mentor, and manage Team Leads and Digital Marketing departments.

Conduct performance reviews, training programs, and team development initiatives.

Drive accountability, productivity, and continuous improvement across teams.

Support recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, and retention activities.

Client Management

Manage and oversee SEO and Digital Marketing client accounts.

Build and maintain strong client relationships.

Conduct client review meetings and strategic discussions.

Monitor campaign performance and ensure achievement of client objectives.

Handle client escalations and ensure high levels of client satisfaction and retention.

Review reports, recommendations, and deliverables before sharing with clients.

Business Growth & Strategy

Work closely with Sales and Business Development teams to achieve revenue targets.

Identify opportunities for process optimization, service expansion, and business growth.

Improve operational efficiency and scalability across departments.

Support strategic planning and execution of organizational goals.

Reporting & Compliance

Monitor operational KPIs, team utilization, project profitability, and delivery performance.

Prepare and present operational reports to management.

Ensure compliance with company policies, processes, and quality standards.

Required Skills

Strong leadership, team management, and decision-making skills.

Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management abilities.

Proven experience managing SEO, PPC, Social Media Marketing, Website Development, Content, and Digital Marketing teams.

Strong project management and operational planning capabilities.

Ability to manage multiple teams, projects, and client accounts simultaneously.

Expertise in process improvement, performance management, and client retention.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Management, or a related field.

MBA preferred.

Prior experience in a Digital Marketing Agency is mandatory.

Experience

8+ years of overall experience in Digital Marketing.

Minimum 3+ years of experience as an Operations Manager, Delivery Manager, Agency Head, Operational Head, or a similar leadership role.

Proven experience handling SEO clients and managing Digital Marketing delivery teams.
