Responsibilities

Prepare federal, state, and local tax returns for individual and small business clients with precision and attention to detail

Review financial documents, including income statements, balance sheets, and expense reports to gather necessary data for tax filing

Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or other financial tools to organize client information efficiently

Provide excellent customer service by explaining tax procedures, answering questions, and offering strategic advice on deductions and credits

Stay current with changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and optimize client benefits

Assist clients with bookkeeping tasks, including data entry and reconciliation using various accounting platforms

Support marketing efforts by promoting tax services to potential clients through community outreach or digital channels

Requirements

Proven experience in tax preparation, public accounting, or related financial roles with a strong understanding of tax concepts

Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or similar tools; familiarity with financial software is highly desirable

Solid knowledge of accounting principles, corporate accounting practices, and bookkeeping procedures

Strong analysis skills combined with mathematical aptitude to interpret financial data accurately

Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate complex information clearly and professionally

Ability to perform 10 key typing quickly and accurately for data entry tasks

Background in sales or marketing is a plus for promoting services effectively

Technical accounting skills and familiarity with financial sales strategies enhance your ability to serve clients effectively
