As a Staff Accountant, you will have a blend of general accounting activities along with a variety of financial analyst responsibilities. This position will be an equal split of accounting and analytical activities. pc/nametag is looking for a positive, self-driven, detail-oriented and collaborative individual to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

Day to Day Support (70%)

Accounts receivable activities, inclusive of handling customer requests regarding payment and billing issues, processing refund checks, review of credit holds, and recording return authorizations.

Accounts payable activities, inclusive of reviewing and processing of vendor invoices, and management of payment runs.

Bank reconciliations.

Sales tax reconciliations and customer support

Contract record retention

Analytical Support (30%)

Ownership of the P&L to support month end financial completion (reconciliations, journal entries, P&L reviews)

Involvement in the annual planning process

Systems testing to ensure flow through the financials is accurate.

Partner with the Controller to deepen your understanding of the business and strengthen your skills.

Special projects as needed.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting (minor or major)

3+ years of experience in an accounting environment

Knowledge of basic accounting principles

Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, specifically Excel

Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Ability to follow defined processes on day-to-day support activities.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Excellent customer service skills
