Business Development Manager - Corporate Partnerships.

For more than 190 years, The West Australian Newspaper has been a cornerstone of trusted journalism in WA, standing as the state’s most established news brand. Across its publishing mastheads, it delivers credible, high-quality content to audiences throughout the state and beyond.

We have an exciting opportunity for a commercially driven Business Development Manager to step into a newly created role, spearheading the growth of our digital subscriber base. This position will focus on building strategic corporate partnerships and identifying scalable acquisition opportunities.

Working across a diverse range of audience sectors including corporate, hospitality and retail, this role is integral to driving partnership growth and unlocking new revenue streams. The successful candidate will be confident developing and delivering compelling presentations and proposal decks, with the ability to clearly articulate our value proposition and secure buy-in from prospective clients.

About the role

Lead the expansion of large-scale corporate digital acquisition , building direct partnerships with major organisations .

Proactively d evelop scalable acquisition opportunities for digital growth .

Proactively identify, negotiate and secure strategic p artnerships and new revenue streams.

Maintain a new leads pipeline, developing tailored pricing strategies .

Preparing and presenting effective pitch decks that deliver growth .

Achieve quarterly KPI conversion targets and transform sales data into meanin g ful reports .

Collaborate closely with marketing and distribution teams to maintain retail partnerships and strengthen commercial performance in market.

About you

You are a natural hunter with a strategic mindset and a strong commercial instinct. You know how to open doors, build relationships at senior levels and close deals to turn opportunities into long term revenue streams.

You will ideally bring:

Proven success in business development, partnerships, adve rtisin g or corporate sales.

Demonstrated experience managing and growing key accounts and strategic partnerships.

A track record of delivering revenue growth and exceeding commerc ial t argets.

Track record of effective sales presentation skills, including creating comp elling decks and deli vering with confidence , converting leads into sales.

Experience building scalable B2B acquisition strategies.

Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills.

Highly effective communicator, skilled in delivering compelling messages that drive engagement and commercial outcomes.

A proactive self-starter with the ability to work autonomously.
