The Role
The Insights Manager is an exciting role within our RFI Global Council Insights team, dedicated to delivering high-impact research and strategic guidance to our financial services clients across Australia and New Zealand.
As a senior member of the team, you will work closely with the Insights Director to elevate client engagement, drive operational excellence, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
This role combines leadership, analytical rigour, and client-centric delivery, giving you the opportunity to shape insights that inform decision-making and unlock growth opportunities for leading financial institutions. You will play a key role in strengthening client relationships, enhancing our offering, and contributing to the ongoing success of the team.
Key Responsibilities
Client Delivery
Present to clients with confidence, ensuring outputs exceed expectations in actionability, accuracy, timeliness, and engagement
Own client and internal research briefings, clearly communicating requirements and expectations
Maintain a strong understanding of clients’ strategic priorities and reflect this in all delivery and interactions
Proactively identify opportunities to enhance our offering in response to client needs and market dynamics
Work closely with Sales and Client Success teams to support and grow existing client relationships
High Quality Research and Insights
Translate insights into tangible business impact by linking outputs to client strategic priorities
Design and deliver client research programs end-to-end
Develop clear, impactful reports that support strategic decision-making
Proactively identify key business questions to unlock additional value for clients
Explore and apply innovative research approaches and methodologies where appropriate
Data Analysis
Lead high-quality, accurate, and timely data analysis projects
Collaborate with internal teams to address complex and time-sensitive analytical requests
Apply advanced analytical techniques (descriptive, diagnostic, and statistical) using tools such as SPSS, Q, and DisplayR
Bring data to life through clear storytelling and insightful reporting
Process Optimisation
Collaborate with the Insights Director and Senior Resourcing Manager to prioritise work effectively
Contribute to initiatives that enhance client experience, team efficiency, and commercial outcomes
Support continuous improvement in QA processes, outputs, and automation techniques
Partner with the Senior Resourcing Manager on forward planning and resource allocation
Team Leadership
Review and provide constructive feedback to support the development of junior team members
Contribute to a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing team culture
Support knowledge sharing and lead training sessions where appropriate
Requirements

Experience in market research, data analytics, or a related field (typically 5+ years)
Experience presenting research and insights to senior stakeholders
Background in a research agency or insights-focused role
Experience in financial services is advantageous, but not essential
Degree in a relevant discipline (or equivalent practical experience)
Experience with data analysis, visualisation, and statistical techniques
Familiarity with tools such as SPSS, Survey Reporter, Q, DisplayR, or similar
Strong ability to translate complex analysis into clear, actionable insights for a range of stakeholders
Proven experience delivering end-to-end analysis, from problem definition through to insight generation
Curious and proactive mindset, with a drive to understand underlying business challenges
Strong planning and time management skills in a fast-paced, client-driven environment
Collaborative approach, with experience working across cross-functional teams
Interest in mentoring and supporting the development of junior team members
Understanding of research methodologies is highly regarded
