We are now looking for a Director, Supply Chain & Logistics (m/f/d) to join UPM Next Generation Renewables Commercial Team . The position is located in Leuna, Germany or in Helsinki, Finland.

What you’ll do

Lead end-to-end supply chain operations and indirect sourcing to maximize efficiency, reliability, timeliness and cost effectiveness

Drive strategic planning and decision-making to develop and implement supply chain strategies, policies, procedures and process improvements

Partner with senior leaders to align in and outbound supply, logistics and planning with business strategy, market needs and regulatory requirements

Champion the S&OP (sales and operations planning) process to align production, procurement and logistics schedules to optimize margins and working capital

Lead logistics network across relevant geographies (EMEA, NORAM, APAC) to deliver products to customers and feedstocks to plants on time and in full in fuels and chemicals environment

Develop the supply chain and sourcing organization, capabilities and people

Optimize inventory and working capital to support business performance targets

Who you are

You have extensive leadership experience in supply chain management in an international environment

You have proven expertise in delivering end-to-end, market-driven supply chain performance

You have strong people leadership, stakeholder management, influencing, and communication skills

You are a data-driven problem solver with a continuous improvement/lean mindset

You have experience across operations, logistics, sourcing, and/or the integrated supply chain

You have a university degree and 10+ years of relevant experience and speak English and possibly German or Finnish or another language
