Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Catalog Developer to join our team as a consultant for PAL's Customer. In this senior contract role, you will play a critical part within the IT Application Development team, delivering robust, scalable electronic catalog solutions.
As a trusted technical leader, you will guide development standards, lead complex catalog initiatives, and advise key business and IT stakeholders. You will bring advanced technical expertise in the Paradigm platform and a deep understanding of manufacturing product configurations to optimize our electronic catalog ecosystem.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
Technical Leadership & Architecture: Lead technical execution for medium-to-large initiatives. Provide leadership in solution design, catalog architecture, rule structuring, and configuration strategies across the Paradigm platform.
Catalog Development & Optimization: Develop, enhance, and optimize catalog content using Paradigm tools, embedded rules, tables, filters, and custom VB.NET/.NET components.
Tooling & Automation: Oversee and enhance internal tooling used for catalog development, deployment, testing, and validation, including Python-based utilities and automation frameworks.
Code Quality & Troubleshooting: Debug and refactor complex code modules to improve performance and reliability. Act as an escalation point for complex incidents, driving root-cause analysis.
Testing & Release Management: Direct the testing lifecycle (unit, integration, regression, and performance) and validate ERP-integrated outputs. Lead catalog release processes, environment preparation, and build/publish cycles.
Collaboration & Documentation: Partner with Business and IT stakeholders to drive planning, estimation, and sprint alignment. Author and maintain advanced technical documentation, including architectural diagrams and coding standards.
Mentorship: Coach and mentor team developers, providing direction on technical issues, coding standards, and debugging strategies.
Job Requirements
Experience: Minimum 10+ years of programming experience in electronic catalog development.
Platform Expertise: Deep expertise in the Paradigm/WTS Paradigm ecosystem, including embedded rules and table-driven configuration logic.
Technical Skills:
Advanced proficiency in VB.NET, .NET development, SQL, and debugging tools.
Experience designing and automating developer tools using Python or similar technologies.
Expertise in catalog imagery standards and tools, specifically Adobe Photoshop.
Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of Doors and Windows product configuration and manufacturing principles.
Process & Tools:
Skilled in ServiceNow (or similar) for Incident, Problem, and Change Management.
Strong working knowledge of Agile, Scrum, and ITIL methodologies.
Proficient with Microsoft Office and SharePoint for technical documentation.
Systems Integration: Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot catalog output across multiple environments and integrated ERP systems.
Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
Pay: $90.00 - $100.00 per hour
Experience:
Paradigm/WTS Paradigm: 10 years (Preferred)
VB.NET and .NET development for complex catalog modules: 10 years (Preferred)
manufacturing rules for product configurations : 6 years (Preferred)
troubleshooting electronic catalog: 1 year (Preferred)
