Job Title: TDI Divisional Control Office (DCO) – Divisional Control Junior Analyst – Controls Testing

Role Description

Divisional Control Office (DCO) as part of Technology, Data & Innovation (TDI) Chief Operating Office (COO), provides services to multiple functions in the group, to deliver Deutsche Bank’s risk and control agenda. The DCO function is a dedicated risk and control, function, with prime responsibility for managing and proactively mitigating risk across the full breadth of the Technology, Data & Innovation (TDI) organization. Function provides a consolidated view and central coordination of (non-financial) risks, as well as effective, efficient, and consistent standards and policies across Technology.

As part of TDI Risk & Controls Strategy, TDI DCO Controls Testing team identifies, tracks, and reports control testing activities, conducts independent controls testing (design and operating effectiveness) on different risk types such as Information Technology, Information Security, Data & Records Management (but not limited to) in line with the Control Testing Standards. The team also focuses on regulatory and risk-based testing requirements. This role is within TDI DCO Controls Testing team.

Your key responsibilities

Perform Control Testing in line with Control Testing methodology/minimum standard.

Undertake Design Effectiveness (DE) and Operating Effectiveness (OE) Testing

Support control assurance activities such as MIS preparation, progress reporting, time tracking for testers.

Prepare Control Testing workpapers detailing testing results

Identify control deficiencies (issues), risks related to elements of controls, participate in testing identified issues agreement with stakeholders, escalate potential challenges and exception items noted during the testing to senior management for discussion and further investigation, if deemed necessary

Build and maintain solid working relationships with key stakeholders across all Lines of Defence such as within the DCO, TDI, other Testing Teams including Divisions/sub-divisions, 2 LoD and Group Audit

Contribute to various team initiatives, process improvements and automation opportunities

Your skills and experience

University degree preferably in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or a related subject or equivalent qualification in the areas of information security

Sound knowledge of auditing IT controls, e.g., from IT audits or IT and Information Security risk management.

Proficient in the use of Microsoft Outlook, Excel (i.e. organizing data sets), Word and PowerPoint.

Understanding of the relationship between IT risk and underlying business process risk will be beneficial.

Strong analytical skills and structured thought process with the ability to clearly articulate control deficiencies and related risk

Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills and a proactive team member

This is an IC (individual contributor) role.
