Production Technician

Air Liquide Singapore Private Limited (ALSg), the largest and leading industrial gas company in South-east Asia, employs 800 people recognized for their high level of expertise to provide gases, equipment, services and packaged solutions to support the requirements of the Singapore manufacturing industry.

You will oversee daily plant operations, ensuring products meet quality specifications while strictly complying with safety regulations, IMS protocols, and ERT duties. This role involves performing plant startups, shutdowns, and maintenance turnarounds, as well as conducting safety inspections for contractor work and ensuring proper shift manning. Additionally, you will monitor equipment performance to spot abnormalities early and collaborate with engineers to troubleshoot issues and implement process improvements.

How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following procedures; complying with legal regulations and Air Liquide Industrial Management System.

Responsible for the day to day operational activities according to the process specifications, quality protocol, and operating procedures.

Prepare equipment for maintenance and perform equipment start-up, shutdown and plant turnaround activities

Acts as ERT member

Ensure Gas Yard always manned with sufficient operations technicians on each shift through coordinations

Lead at his/her assigned area/scope during plant shutdown maintenance to ensure smooth and accidents free turnaround

Monitor, analyse and feedback early sign of unit performance deterioration/abnormality based on the KPI set by operation engineer for each production unit.

Support operations engineer to implement process improvement, troubleshooting, projects, data collections, etc.

Identify, analyse, develop and propose optimum solution to operations engineer / facility manager on operational issues, complaints or improvement opportunities.

To perform site and pre-activity inspection to assess if contractor work is safe to start

Are you a MATCH?

Diploma in chemical engineering or equivalent

Experience in chemical industry shift work. Experience in cryogenic air separation unit (ASU) and Steam Methane Reformer unit (SMR) operation will be an advantage.

Good knowledge in generic personnel and process safety in industrial plant context.

Proactively propose optimisation plan for work method.

Organised and detail oriented.

Good team player and strong interpersonal skills.

Experience in implementation 6S projects in workplace will be an advantage.
