The Role
Kyndryl is seeking a Legal Operations Manager (Commercial) to lead the transformation of contract templates into a structured, system-enabled contracting model within Icertis CLM, while driving broader optimization of the commercial contracting function.
This is a strategic, hands-on role responsible for designing and governing how contract templates and clause libraries are structured, generated, and managed within Icertis, in partnership with Offerings, Go-To-Market (GTM), CLM, and CIO teams to ensure alignment with business models, risk tolerance, and scalability.
In this role you will be responsible for program leadership and process optimization across the contracting lifecycle, including enhancing legal intake and workflow management (Checkbox), enabling system integrations, and evaluating and driving adoption of AI-enabled tools to improve contract review, drafting, and negotiation efficiency. Additionally, you will play a critical role in advancing Kyndryl’s shift to structured, automated contracting and enabling scalable, system-supported execution.
Key Responsibilities
Phase 1: Contract Transformation & CLM Architecture (Primary Focus)
Lead the transformation of legacy Word-based contract templates into structured clause libraries within Icertis
Design, standardize, and govern clause libraries, fallback language, and template structures to support automated contract generation
Collaborate with CLM and CIO teams to configure and enable document generation within Icertis
Partner with Offering Managers to develop and maintain offering-aligned contract templates
Work with the CLM team to define and govern metadata standards and taxonomies to enable reporting, compliance, and automation
Act as the Legal Department’s focal point for the design, implementation, and continuous optimization of Kyndryl’s contracting framework
P hase 2: Contracting Enablement, Intake & Optimization (Expanded Scope)
Intake & Workflow Optimization
Enhance the legal intake and workflow management system (Checkbox) for commercial requests
Drive integration between Checkbox, Icertis, and upstream GTM/sales systems
Use data insights, metrics, and user feedback to continuously improve workflow efficiency and user experience
Program Management & Innovation
Lead initiatives to improve contract negotiation efficiency, consistency, and cycle time
Evaluate and support adoption of AI-enabled contract review and redlining tools
Monitor adoption, compliance, and performance of contracting frameworks and tools
Partner across Legal, GTM, Finance, and Operations to drive alignment on commercial execution strategies
Create and maintain centralized knowledge resources to support Legal and business users

Required Qualifications
4+ years of experience in legal operations, contract operations, legal technology, or technical program management, working in-house or with a law firm.
2+ years of experience with CLM platforms (Icertis strongly preferred)
Strong understanding of contract structures, clause libraries, and risk allocation frameworks
Experience translating legal concepts into scalable processes, templates, or systems
Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally in a global, matrixed environment
Preferred Qualifications
Experience designing or implementing CLM transformations or contracting programs
Familiarity with enterprise technology services, outsourcing, or managed services contracting
Understanding of data models, metadata design, or system configuration concepts (no coding required)
Strong analytical mindset with comfort using contract data to drive decision-making
Experience partnering with Offering, GTM, or commercial organizations
Skills & Attributes
Strategic thinker with the ability to operate at both conceptual and execution levels
Highly collaborative, with strong influencing skills across business and technical teams
Detail-oriented, with a focus on precision, governance, and scalability
Comfortable navigating ambiguity and driving organizational change
Strong communication skills, including the ability to simplify complex concepts
The compensation range for this position in the US is $115,080 to $218,520 based on a full-time schedule. Your actual compensation may vary depending on your geography, job-related skills, and experience. For part time roles, the compensation will be adjusted appropriately. The pay or salary range will not be below any applicable state, city, or local minimum wage requirement.
This position will be eligible for Kyndryl's discretionary annual bonus program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Kyndryl's applicable plans. You may also receive a comprehensive benefits package which includes medical and dental coverage, disability, retirement benefits, paid leave and paid time off. Note: if this is a sales commission eligible role, you will be eligible to participate in a sales commission plan in lieu of the annual discretionary bonus program.
