Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated and well-connected Business Development & Community Partnerships Consultant to help Turtle Volleyball Club secure access to school and community gym facilities, establish strategic partnerships with local school districts, and support student recruitment efforts.

The ideal candidate has experience working with K–12 school districts, parks and recreation departments, youth sports organizations, or community-based nonprofits and understands how to navigate facility use processes and build long-term partnerships.

Responsibilities

Facility Access & Partnerships

Develop relationships with school district administrators, principals, athletic directors, and facility coordinators.

Identify available school gymnasiums and community facilities suitable for volleyball programs.

Assist with facility use applications, permits, and agreements.

Explore opportunities for long-term facility partnerships and joint-use agreements.

Represent Turtle Volleyball Club at meetings with district and community leaders.

Student Recruitment & Community Outreach

Build partnerships with schools, PTAs/PTOs, after-school programs, and community organizations.

Help coordinate volleyball clinics, demonstrations, and community events.

Develop strategies to increase student enrollment and community awareness.

Identify opportunities for sponsorships, grants, and community support.

Strategic Development

Advise leadership on district policies, facility use procedures, and community engagement strategies.

Help establish Turtle Volleyball Club as a recognized youth sports partner within local school districts.

Provide monthly progress reports and recommendations.

Qualifications

Experience working with school districts, youth sports organizations, parks and recreation departments, or community nonprofits.

Strong professional network within Southern California education or recreation communities.

Excellent relationship-building and communication skills.

Experience with facility use agreements, permits, or community partnerships preferred.

Knowledge of California school district facility use procedures is highly desirable.

Former school administrator, athletic director, facilities director, recreation manager, or community relations professional preferred.

Compensation

Flexible contract arrangement.

Monthly retainer and/or performance-based incentives.

Additional bonuses may be provided for securing facility agreements, partnership opportunities, or enrollment growth milestones.

Success Measures

Within the first 6–12 months, the consultant will be expected to:

Establish relationships with multiple school districts and school sites.

Secure access to additional gym facilities.

Create partnership opportunities with local schools and community organizations.

Contribute to measurable growth in student enrollment and program participation.
