The position and your daily adventures
Vendor Management: Onboarding new vendors, validating legal/tax documentation, registering them in the ERP, and verifying compliance against blacklists (SAT/AML).
Invoice Processing: Receiving, tracking, and registering invoices/CFDIs for accounting, validating tax requirements (UUID, VAT, retentions), reviewing prices and contracts, and prioritizing payments based on due dates.
Payments & Reconciliations: Preparing weekly payment proposals, controlling payment status, issuing payment complements, reconciling AP against the general ledger, and clearing balances for monthly financial statements.
Reporting & Improvement: Generating weekly/monthly reports (due invoices, aging, KPIs), supporting internal/external audits, defining, documenting, and implementing continuous improvements and automation initiatives for AP processes.
What we are looking for:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or similar.
Strong background in Accounts Payable (3-5 years), managing the full AP cycle (invoice reception, validation, posting, and payments).
Experience with vendor onboarding and management, including tax/legal documentation, ERP registration, updates, and blacklist checks (SAT/AML).
Solid knowledge of CFDI tax validation (UUID, VAT, withholdings, payment method, tax regime).
Skilled in reconciliations, balance cleanup, and resolving discrepancies with vendors and internal teams.
Experience preparing payment proposals, controlling payment status, and issuing payment complements.
Previous involvement in month-end close, AP reporting, aging, KPIs, and audit support.
Hands-on experience with SAP.
Previous experience in a fast working environment such as Fintech or Startup companies.
Advanced English for communication with external vendors and internal reporting.
