THE ROLE
We are seeking an experienced Designer in the Twin Cities area with strong graphic and web design expertise to lead a diverse portfolio of projects. This role requires both conceptual strength and technical fluency, with the ability to translate strategy into compelling, user-centered design solutions that are visually compelling and informed by strategy and data.
You will collaborate across disciplines to create design solutions that are engaging, scalable, and culturally relevant. This role spans brand identity systems, integrated marketing campaigns, digital experiences, motion design, and emerging platforms to deliver work that is impactful, adaptable, and results-driven.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Translate brand strategy and campaign concepts into cohesive brand and digital experiences.
Lead the design of digital products from discovery through UX, UI, visual design, and final delivery.
Present confidently design concepts and clearly articulate creative rationale to internal teams and clients
Contribute to research and insights that inform design decisions
Create sitemaps, user flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity designs that balance storytelling, usability, accessibility, and performance
Design responsive web interfaces and scalable component systems
Collaborate with strategists, writers, developers, and project leads to align creative vision with execution
Produce documentation and assets to support seamless development handoff
Evolve and uphold brand systems, design standards, and digital best practices
Manage multiple projects with strong organization, accountability, and communication
Mentor and support junior team members through feedback and guidance
Welcome feedback as part of the creative process
Stay current on design trends, accessibility standards, UX best practices, and emerging technologies, including AI
REQUIRED SKILLS
Strong foundation in typography, layout, color, motion, and visual hierarchy
Deep understanding of brand systems and identity design
Proven experience designing responsive websites and digital products
Solid grasp of UX/UI principles, interaction design, and accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG)
Experience working with developers and understanding of front-end implementation (experience in HTML, CSS, CMS platforms such as WordPress or Webflow is a plus)
Confident presenter with excellent communication skills and ability to clearly explain thinking to both creative and non-creative stakeholders
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
Deep knowledge of print, digital, motion, and production fundamentals
Collaborative mindset with openness to feedback and iteration
QUALIFICATIONS
5+ years of professional industry experience
Versatile portfolio with strong focus on brand and digital products
Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, visual communication, interactive design, ad school credentials or equivalent professional experience
Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Figma
Experience with socially conscious brands is a plus
Experience working with mission-driven or socially conscious organizations is a plus
Startup mentality and “figure-it-out” attitude is a must
Track record of leading mobile app design (from concept and prototyping through release and continuous improvement)
